What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture, encourage and support mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. It is a safe, loving environment where moms have the opportunity to make new friends, share experiences and laugh together. Women of all age groups and backgrounds join together to support one another in becoming the best moms we can be.

What do we do at MOPS meetings?
At a typical MOPS meeting, moms enjoy a delicious brunch, adult conversation, prayerful discussion in small groups, and either an enlightening speaker or a fun craft activity. We also incorporate lots of games and other fun. We also plan special moms' nights out, playdate meetups and other activities throughout the year.

What about my children?
During meetings, children attend MOPPETS just a few doors away, in the classroom spaces at Covenant Baptist Church under the care of a generous and loving group of volunteers, all of whom have completed background checks. Your child will experience a preschool-like setting with "classes" organized by age group. Activities include play, music, crafts, snack, stories and Bible-based lessons.

What does MOPS cost?
We have registration for the fall and spring. Fall dues are $49 ($24 for MOPS International and $25 local dues); spring dues are $25. The membership entitles you to a year subscription to MOMSense Magazine, The Mom E-mail, a MOPS reusable shopping bag, MOPS bookmark and magnet, and the local dues help cover the costs of our supplies, programming and child care. We do have scholarships available and will not turn away any mother on the basis of financial need. So please don't let finances keep you from joining us!
No. All mothers are welcome at CBC MOPS. We have mothers from all walks of life and many different denominations in the group, including from Covenant Baptist Church. Those seeking a church home are always welcome to join in worship at Covenant Baptist Church.
